I Choose You.

I choose you
In the shadowy corners of my mind
And the narrow edges of my heart
I choose you
On the loneliest paths
And in the company of the Universe
Yes, I choose you
In the stark of night
Where bodies merge and souls collide
Oh, I choose you
In here, everywhere
On my reading table, between the gentle roughness of sheets on the bed
And I choose you,
Although ‘m a butterfly, and you are a bee
But I choose you,
Even when we play hide and seek
I choose, I chose,
‘m choosing your soul
To know, to love,
To contain, to hurt
To be known, and touched by
Contained, enraptured by mine
Because I choose you,
Because I want to.

  1. Your writing always gets me.
Beyond the beauty of the words, this strengthens anyone’s resolve to stick with whom they’ve chosen to love no matter the circumstances that follow. True Love is a choice, and we should be deliberate once in it.

  2. The most compelling line for me is gotta be that final line…’Because I want to’! That’s my highest point and most defining moment of this spectacularly thought and laid out masterpiece of a poetical writing! 👉😄

That moment you realize that you’re ALL in and there’s no turning back……to ride or die, swim or sink! And knowing fully well too that with making choices, you automatically get to contend with whatever consequences…good or not so good; that may arise in their wake! Nevertheless, you’re convinced it’d be absolutely worth it in the end and you straight dive in…taking the plunge!! Nice!!!😎😂

A stunning composition ME….positively fascinating for sure! Many kudos to you Sweets! ❤😄

    • Thank you so much ma’am. As Mr Ore put it, indeed, love is a choice; and once we make it, we must be deliberate about it.

All in, or all out. Ride, or die.

      I appreciate you ma’am. ❤
